Dr. Chris Main
Dr Main is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon who is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, along with his vast experience in regenerative medicine. He has 24 years of experience performing over 25,000 surgical procedures.
His practice is focused on arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder and knee, performing out-patient total joint replacements, and Worker’s Comp injuries. Several large manufacturing companies place their trust in Dr Main’s expertise in treating their injured workers.

Dr. Main
Dr. Main learned the practice of hard work from his parents growing up in a farming community in rural Missouri. He excelled in athletics and was a nationally ranked Decathlete in high school. He also achieved the honor of Eagle Scout. He attended Northeast MO State University (Truman State) and medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He completed his residency training at Des Peres Hospital and St Louis University Hospital. Dr Main felt the need and desire to bring specialty care of orthopedic surgery back to his hometown. Midwest Orthopedic Surgical Services, LLC and Surgical Care Center, LLC as well as many remote offices throughout Missouri are here to serve the community and surrounding area.
Dr. Main has published several research articles in his field of orthopedics and regenerative medicine. He has served as team physician for several high schools as well as Division II and NAIA Universities. He has performed duties as a board examiner for the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics. In his free time, Dr Main enjoys several sporting events with the Mizzou Tigers, Kansas City Chiefs, St Louis Cardinals and St Louis Blues.
Kathy (Switzer) Ervie PA-C
Kathy (Switzer) Ervie PA-C is a North Missouri native growing up on her family’s farm north of Bucklin. She is thrilled to be able to return home to provide specialized orthopedic care to her community.
After graduation from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Kathy attended Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana earning her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 1998.
Later, she obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska in 2003. Kathy is board certified as a Physician Assistant (PA) through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Kathy
Kathy has worked as a PA in orthopedic surgery for much of her career living in Kansas City where she and her husband Damon raised their two boys, Zach and Ben. Most recently Kathy worked as a PA serving the community of Clinton, MO. She is the founding Program Director of the PA program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine from 2012 through 2021. Kathy continues to value education and enjoys mentoring students with an interest in the medical field. She has served her profession as the past president of the Missouri Academy of Physician Assistants.
Kathy is honored to provide compassionate orthopedic care to the community she calls home. She looks forward to the opportunity to partner with her patients to help them achieve their lifestyle goals and needs. Kathy lives at Lake Nehai with Damon and their black lab Matilda. In her free time, she enjoys boating, reading, entertaining family and friends, amateur gardening, and she never tires of traveling to a tropical destination, or listening to live music.
